I went here almost two weeks ago on a Friday, I needed to try an overall in the fitting room, the lady that was there was rude & seemed like she didn’t even know want to help or work there, while I was trying them on in the fitting room I hear someone (must have been a friend of hers) talking and laughing in spanish with her while I was trying things on. after I finished trying the two overall outfits I was supposed to give them to her to hang them because they didn’t fit me right, instead she turned her back on my face as if I didn’t exist. I ended up buying nothing and I ended up doing her job and hanging the clothes I tried on where they belonged because this Papaya has a woman who isn’t doing her job & doesn’t even try to be nice, she was totally unhelpful!!! This was on 10/28/17
I love papaya
Horrible!!!!! Bought a dress for my daughter on the 24th of December so she could wear it that evening to a party. I picked her up from work that evening and she changed her clothes in the car on the way to the party, only to find that the seam under the breast was lose ( it measures about 2 inches). We had to go back home for her to change into another dress. Today December 31, I return the dress with the receipt only to be told that the tag is not on the dress therefore they won't take it back. I ask for the manager who immediately says the tag is not on so we don't take it back. I said so I must take it to an alteration shop? she says yes. I said what!!! I explained to her that I did not feel well but came all the way to the mall, because my daughter wanted to wear the dress for New Year's Eve. I said I have my receipt I just want another dress. Manager says we don't do exchanges. I then got upset and she said I'm trying to explain the policies I said I don't care about the policy I just want another damn dress. Another customer in the store says I would get mad too give her the dress. After going back and forth... I asked for the corporate number and she says I can call them, I said you know what I think you should call them. She disappears into the backroom and comes back after about 10 minutes with a security guard and says corporate said "No". I asked her to call them back....First, I spoke to Andy who refuses as well to exchange the dress, I then asked for a person higher up, which is Richard. Explained the whole thing and he says manager was going to exchange it but I used profanity....profanity?? Because I used the word damn? Richard you don't know what profanity is huh? He says if tag was on dress they would have done it. I leave the store only to remember that when I bought the dress there was no tag on it. I gave the cashier a medium size dress to ring up because the small size dress had no tag and I asked him to make sure to give me the dress that was labeled 'small'. So I went back and told the manager that there was never a tag on the dress and that if she put the SKU # on the receipt into the register she'd see that a medium size dress was rung up. She says it has nothing to do with tag not being there we don't accept returns. I said please put the SKU # into register and you'll see. She then says it doesn't work like that it doesn't show the size. First I was told tag had to be on dress and when tell them tag was missing at time of purchase all of a sudden it has nothing to do with the tag? Has anyone ever wondered why their sales are final and no exchanges or returns on dresses are accepted? Maybe because they know that many of their items have holes or imperfections? Papaya's policies suck and that store ought to be shut down. How can you sell damaged items and not expect a customer to return the item?? Papaya's customer service has much to learn from Macy's or perhaps even so from Target or Walmart.
Sales people/cashiers are extremely rude and they do not earn the money they make. I think the criteria for working here is a lousy attitude and no habla English! So you have to wonder if they're violating any illegal labor laws.
Thanks
