The whole staff is incompetent! I have been waiting since November 2016 to get my engagement ring back with a lot of back and forth and them not being able to get it right. Also, they really need to work on their communication skills.
I called earlier this week and spoke to a very sweet lady about getting my ring sized. She advised it takes about two weeks but this Saturday the Jewler would be in and she can size my ring that day. Perfect. So I called Friday to follow up and see what time I needed to come. Spoke to a different lady who told me to come between 10-2pm. I got there at 10 am Saturday morning and was told the Jewler didn't bring her tools, so it will still take 2 weeks. I'm not sure who is exactly at fault, but they had my name and number and knew I needed to get my ring sized, the couldve called... I drove 25 minutes there just to be told they can't do anything? Not happy... I saw the bad reviews but decided to go anyway because of the nice lady I spoke to the first time. Not going to be going back to that location.
I come to this Kay's just because of Roger . I live in Deerfield and there are many different Kay Jewelers I can go to but I specifically come to this Kay's because he's the best. I purposely wait for him to assist me because I know I will receive the same great attitude and customers service to matter what day or time I come. He is just amazing. Thank you to Roger for being fantastic can't wait to come back again .
Customer service is very poor. We walked in to the store and waited for about 10 minutes for someone to help us. No acknowledgment or anyone saying 'we will be right there' we got looked at then ignored. The associates working seem like they don't want to actually be here. There is a lack of communication from the store. We have a ring delivered here from another location and no one bother to call us to let us know it was in. If you aren't here to make a purchase you aren't cared about.
Worst jeweler I’ve ever encountered. Told us we’d get 40% off for opening accounts, then wouldn’t honor it after the accounts were opened, which took over an hour to do. Man originally helping us went on break after opening our accounts and then the manager took over and said she can’t do 40% because it would almost make one of the two rings free! (Well duh, that’s why we did it!) Didn’t want to seem cheap in front of my fiancé so I went ahead and bought the rings. We waited for over an hour just for her to ring up the rings. Upon reading the paperwork at home, we found out the rings were not 14k like the man who sold them to us told us, they were 10k. When I went to return the rings, the manager was rude and argumentative. I told her I did not want to go back and forth, I just wanted to return, but she kept yelling at me throughout the return saying that they have been in business over 100 years and that they did nothing wrong. Other customers who had been waiting for a very long time to be helped took notice and walked out and warned others walking in to turn around. My advice is to steer clear of this store. I will never go back.
