My wife presented to me (for lack of a better term) a "dummy" quote we received unsolicited from an agent at Billiet Insurance Agency which had recently opened up an office in the area. I reviewed the "dummy" quote from the agent named Maris Orlinsky. I found this quote more comprehensive than the quote I received from the agent I was trying to work with. I emailed Maris on Friday evening, Monday morning promptly at 8:50a (office hours are 9-5) I received a phone call. We chatted, talked out the particulars and within hours we had a darn near perfect quote. I called Maris and asked if we could meet, (must be my Midwestern upbringing, I like to meet face to face). We met the next morning, fine tuned the quote, executed the policy and then before we left, Maris had given us competitive quote on our auto and umbrella policies. Not only that, but she was friendly and took a real interest in our needs. So now we have a local agent for all of our insurance needs with Maris and Billiet.
I asked friends for recommendations and settled on a broker in Fort Lauderdale. I made contact with the agent and obtained a preliminary quote which at the time was a very reasonable quote. I called the agent and left a message to call so we could review the quote. No luck. I emailed the agent with the quote and asked her to contact me as we were under a deadline to obtain insurance.
