My treatment by Dr. Alvarez has been exemplary on every level. I would highly recommend him. He has guided my treatment for several years never hesitating to answer questions or working with me, even when he is not part of the treatment at that point.
I wish I had found Heron Bay Dental sooner! The staff is so friendly and helpful. Dr. Alvarez saw me on short notice and stayed past office hours to fix two problem teeth. He put in the extra time to do everything correctly. I would absolutely recommend anyone looking for a dentist to go to Heron Bay Dentistry.
Great experience replacing a cap. Everything went according to plan and Dr Alvarez was more concerned about the perfect color match then I was. In addition, the staff was friendly and professional. I felt like I was in good hands. I had a positive experience, and I would highly recommend.
Was told when I made the appointment that I didn't need to stop taking my blood thinners prior to my cleaning. When I got there the dentist went over my medical history and the fact that I'm on blood thinners and he was fine with doing my cleaning... then when I told him I wasn't interested in a deep cleaning only a regular cleaning he told me he was uncomfortable doing my cleaning because of the blood thinners. (Even though I had just started them and was not yet at a therapeutic level). It seemed every obvious that he used this as an excuse since he couldn't upsell me. He told me he would email me a quote of the cost for my filling ( which he never did) and to get a note from my hematologist saying it's ok for him to do the cleaning. When I told my hematologist about this she was shocked that he would require that for only a cleaning. It was a waste of my time and very unprofessional.... I wouldn't recommend unless you want to pay for procedures that the dentist convinces you to get instead of ones you actually need.
Dr. Alvarez has been my dentist for about a decade now. Not once have I ever had a negative experience and furthermore, he goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are good health overall, not just our dental health. For example, he noticed a tiny growth on my soft palate, which ended up being benign and removed by my orthodontist. However, it could've been malignant and undetected, which is all too common. Dr. Alvarez truly cares about your health and will treat you like family.
